Wrapping up another youth year?

I'm amazed at how much can happen in a year of working with teenagers. I want to applaud you junior and senior highs. There have been so many times I've thought about posting about how much fun I had spending evenings learning about who God is through his word with you. There have been equally as many times I've appreciated being invited to hear about the triumphs and defeats you've experienced throughout the year.

Thank you for the grace you've extended to me as I try to figure out what a youth pastor does, and how I fit into this role. I love the energy our junior youth bring all the time! I am caught off guard sometimes by the depth of insight both junior and senior highs show.

Our youth leaders are amazing people who have sacrificed many evenings to spend time and energy showing the love of Christ and serving our young people.

My prayer for you reading, is that of Paul. "I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." Ephesians 3:16-19 NLT.

Thanks for a great year! Seek God and stop sinning. His way is better!
